There are five local volunteer fire departments serving the citizens of Garrard County. The fire departments not only provide fire protection, but are also crucial in other events such as search and rescue missions, major traffic accidents, and chemical emergency incidents at the Bluegrass Army Depot. If you have a question about open burning or other fire related concern, please contact your local fire chief.
