The Garrard County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) has a major role in preparing for emergencies and disaster events. The Garrard County LEPC is comprised of the county Judge/Executive, Mayor of Lancaster, EMA Director and Deputy Directors, the Lancaster Police Chief and Garrard County Sheriff, EMS Director, 911 Coordinator, and local Fire Department Chiefs.
