Kentucky Emergency Management held training for newly appointed and experienced local emergency management professionals in Frankfort in April. In attendance was newly appointed Garrard County Emergency Management Director Tim Scott and CSEPP Director Jay Overman.

The course was to give local professionals a basic understanding of and updates on Emergency Management statutes and regulations, the operation of KYEM branches, and ancillary support programs available to aid local emergency management personnel. These basic principles will also help make clearer the organizational levels at the local. state and federal level.

The class was conducted over 3 days with several State Emergency Management personnel providing the training.
